Spoglio del Gaetano Bedini, 1845-1852.

This collection primarily concerns Bedini's work as Commissario Straordinario di Bologna. The first four buste are primarily made up of correspondence with prelates and other functionaries written in order to carry out these responsibilities. The end of busta 4 and all of busta 5, however, concern Bedini's other positions. These two buste include materials dealing with Bedini's work as internuncio and then as nuncio in Brazil, correspondence with American bishops, his work as secretary at the Propaganda Fide including an apostolic visit to the United States in 1854, and correspondence written during his tenure as Archbishop-Bishop of Viterbo and Toscanella.
